The VantedgePoint^® Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) solution is composed of the VantedgePoint Gateway and the VantedgePoint Remote Telemetry Controller (RTC).  Together, the Gateway and the RTC provide remote monitoring for a variety of sensor networks.  The platform allows for mesh, star and P2P networking and can support up to 256 nodes per Gateway. 

The partnering of the Gateway and the RTC results in a highly scalable and deployable wireless sensor network.  This platform, along with the many services provided by WMS, can allow anyone to benefit from wireless technology.

Some of the application possibilities include: Industrial Equipment Monitoring, Condition Based Monitoring, Intrusion Detection, Environmental Monitoring, Surveillance & Reconnaissance and Tank Level Monitoring.
 

The VantedgePoint Gateway is central to the WSN and is well suited for industrial applications.  It provides the control and functionality needed for high performance applications that require data aggregation and transparent WAN interfacing.  There are two types of VantedgePoint Gateways:  the Remote Telemetry Gateway, which provides GMS/GPRS cellular network connectivity, and the Linux Gateway, which provides additional LAN/WAN interfaces running an embedded Linux Operating System.
